Where's That Tiger!?!

Ryanne and Michael are at the Apple Store in Soho for the big Tiger release and I'm chatting with Ryanne and blogging this right now.  They are vlogging the event and I'll add links to interesting blog posts and vids here as they become available.

Hold that tiger! Hold that Tiger! ... Where's that tiger?

Also, look for Ryanne and Michael to unveil freevlog.org this weekend (here's a video that explains what they are doing).

Altogether, this makes for quite a SpinFlow weekend.  Hope yours is a great one!

Addendum: Well, the feedback is starting to flow across the net and while some nerds and geeks are cooing over some new widgets, many creative professionals are not so happy with the hardware requirements for many of the new features.

In particular, Michael is very disappointed with the H.264 video codec and plans to stick with 3ivx.  It sounds like a lot of folks may need to upgrade their hardware (to dual processor G5's! Mac mini's and iBooks won't cut it here folks)  As one of Michael's blog readers pointed out: it looks like it will still be some time before we see full screen videos on websites.

Here's a video of the event that Ryanne posted.  She says "it's no big deal."  My favorite part is the shot where Michael Verdi starts helping and teaching right in the store.  Way to go Michael!

Michael also gives a great little review of the new Apple H.264 codec on todays' Rocketboon show.

David Shea had a great review from the perspective of a web designer. See http://www.mezzoblue.com/archives/2005/05/02/an_inevitabl/index.php
